Our Wonderful Christmas Vacation

Jacob and Samantha by our Christmas tree in Houston

We arrived in Salt Lake on Wednesday, December 22, 2004. We were greeted by snow, but it soon melted and we didn't see much after that. We have developed our own pattern for the Christmas Holidays. December 23rd is usually celebrated with Scott's extended family. December 24th with some of my extended family, and by December 25th we are hopping back and forth between houses all day long trying to hit all the action. Christmas morning we start with my family.

Here is Christmas Morning with the opening of presents

I was hoping for smiles on Christmas morning. Unfortunately, a few of us started getting sick and the twins cried all morning long. They were so miserable we didn't even bother them with their presents.

Jacob got many cars and trains, which is what he loves; and everything Samantha got was Princess and the Pauper merchandise. She got the barbie dolls, the dress as you see in this picture, the dishes and even the bubble bath. She actually doesn't watch the movie that much, she just loves to pretend

We put the twins down for an early nap and then left to got eat breakfast with Scott's family. I actually don't know what happened that morning, because I fell asleep on the couch. (I had been up all night with babies and then I was getting sick too.) We had lunch back with my family and my Grandma Coleby and then we were scheduled back at Scott's for Dinner. luckily by then the twins were a little happier and ready to play.

Samantha and Jacob had a blast tearing apart the house as they played with their cousins. Here is Samantha who has jumped from the stairs and landed in a beanbag at the bottom.

On Sunday Scott's family performed the musical number in Audra's ward and Ashlee's ward. Here they are Christmas night practicing.

On Sunday, the day after Christmas my family got together for a nice formal dinner. Melissa and John spent the whole day driving just to be with us; and Great-Grandma Coleby joined us also.

The following week was spent play, recovering from colds and preparing for the new year and our upcoming cruise!
