Today was the twin’s preschool graduation. Since they are going back next year, it was really more of a promotion. Graduation was at 10 am sharp so by the time I walked in 15 minutes late, it was over. The kids were opening a book present from their teacher and I just jumped right in and started taking pictures as if I had been there the whole time. Good thing I will get a chance to see them walk down the aisle to get their certificate next year.

The twins have made a lot of progress in the last year. I am glad that they have another year of preschool because they aren’t ready for kindergarten yet. I year ago they couldn’t count or sing the ABC’s so we have at least checked those off the to do list. Right now we are working on learning to write their names, but they are still in the tracing phase, and we may be here for awhile. They have never had an interest in coloring, so they haven’t developed the fine motor skill of handling a pencil. Every day they grab the pencil with their fist, and then I have to pry it from their hand to place it in the correct position. Interestingly over the years we have watched both of them use both hands and wondered if they were right handed or lefties. Now that they are older, Joshua now uses his right and Matthew uses his left. As a side note, Alex is still young but he definitely favors his left hand too.
