We started the weekend off early on Friday and took the kids to the movies. Everyone loved TOYSTORY 3 and even Alex behaved himself. Saturday morning we decorated our bikes, only to find out that the threat of rain canceled the neighborhood parade. It wasn't raining at first but as the morning wore on, the rain came. We made a special breakfast and twiddled our thumbs the rest of the day... That night, a little stir crazy, we went out to dinner and then picked up some fireworks.

Sunday we played with the sparklers and once it was dark we found a spot in a dark parking lot to enjoy the cities fireworks. They were great but next year we are going to bring some patriotic music to enhance the show.



Scott had the day off on Monday, so we decided to enjoy the break from the rain and headed down to the beach. The kids had a great time, and Alex stayed dry most of the time since he was afraid of the water.

That night we enjoyed our 3rd night of fireworks. My brother Craig joined us for the evening, since he was in town for work. Alex found that his favorite was the strobe light when all the kids jumped up and danced and watched their shadows on the garage.
